Comfort Cafe San Antonio restaurant reviews:

Our family went here for lunch (some of us got a late breakfast which they serve all day), the food is amazing!! Highly recommend this place! No prices on the menu, you "pay what you can" as the proceeds go back to their charity. They kindly suggest a donation of $15 per entree, and the food is totally worth it. Very generous portions. We will be back!

Happy New Years. We woke up and wanted to get a great breakfast to start the New Years. We decided to give this place a try. This is one of the best kept secrets in San Antonio. They are a non profit that accepts donations so when you don’t see no prices on the menu don’t be alarmed. The staff here is exceptional especially Blake. This restaurant is built on help people and they are some of the best cooks you’ll ever find in any fine dinning restaurant. Remember this when your ordering a meal it’s big enough to feed at least 2-3 individuals. It was a great experience and fabulous environment. If your looking for a place to eat with some great food. This is the place to go.

This was a unique, but interesting, experience. There are no prices here. They recommend around $15 per plate, but there are no hard rules. This is a nonprofit that supports a rehabilitation center, so what you pay directly supports the center. However, the food is simply fantastic. This stuff stands on its own, even without the added knowledge of what you're supporting. The flavors were amazing, and the portions were MUCH larger than anything you'd get at a restaurant chain. And it's nestled in the middle of Salado park, with its trails and wonderful scenery. I honestly can't recommend this place enough.

This place is awesome! Amazing food while supporting a great nonprofit? Count me in! We had the weekly special Cinnamon Toast Crunch Pancakes. They were amazing. Everyone was so friendly. I would recommend getting on the waitlist on Yelp to avoid a long wait. Will definitely be coming back!

I have been wanting to try Comfort Cafe for at least 2 years but the stars never aligned until today. It was so worth the wait. We got in line on Yelp, arrived in time to enjoy chai tea and Vietnamese iced coffee over a serious game of Yahtzee! I won 🙂When we got to our table, Blake was our server. We were blessed with the best. His story moved me to tears. The team's determination, serenity, and grace filled the restaurant The food was absolutely amazing. Hopefully these pics will do the flavor justice. We cannot wait to return.

I had the Lone Star Breakfast. Which includes 3 Eggs, potatoes 2 meats and cinnamon rolls pancakes.Jaycee was the server who took care of me and she was exceptional AT HER JOB.She explained to me the program and how it works and support the workers who use the program. The prices for the meal are All donation and go back to program. That supports the workers at the restaurant. The Sausages were juicy and lots of flavors, I got a second serving of them. The Potatoes had green and red peppers.  They were seasoned perfectlyTheir Pancakes were thick and fluffy. When you think cinnamon rolls, that's what these pancakes are. Once I added butter they were excellent. The bacon was thick and crispy. My only criticism would be on the eggs.  They were good, but nothing special.

OMG!! The food was amazing every plate had great presentation. The bacon cooked to perfection. Eggs Benedict was great. Also if you order the Rise and shine get ready to share the yogurt bowl it's huge. The coffee is amazing also.I can not say enough about service and the kind employees we had encountered.Great job guys we will be recommending you to everyone.

Secluded but busy treasure!!! All proceeds going to local people for recovery is the cherry on top of an amazing experience with even better eats! First time here, but won't be the last! Generous portions of some of the best breakfast foods I've ever eaten. Bring cash as no cards accepted. Fantastic atmosphere with a fun dance routine by staff as we were getting ready to head out. Perfect place to go with those you love and support our community ❤

We loved this Cafe! Great food beautiful outdoor seating and fantastic service. I ordered the Jalapeño popper omelet and my husband got the corned beef hash. It was all delicious! And, it all goes to benefit those in recovery. We have been traveling for almost 2 months and this was my favorite restaurant so far.

It was our first time here and there is no review or words that can do justice to this amazing and wonderful place. Their whole mission is admirable and kindhearted. There is a long waiting time but believe me, it’s worth every minute. You can walk around and have a wonderful and relaxing view while you wait. Be patient because once you get your table it gets even more enjoyable. The food was probably the best I’ve had in many years. I had todays special of banana pudding stuffed waffles and an Asian salad. I didn’t finish it all because the portion size is wow. I ended up taking home the waffles but wow!! They definitely make every plate with love. My husband and my two daughters enjoyed their meal as well. We met a wonderful man who served our table, his name is Blake. You can just sense the loving atmosphere and the way he served us was exceptional. Everyone there is on top of things and they help each other. I will keep this place in my prayers always because what they stand for is what this world needs. If the world had more places like this how wonderful it would be. Blake, if you ever read this review, thank you for showing us how your transformation and testimony brightened up our day and you filled our hearts with so much joy! We are so proud of you and we are grateful for Serenity Star Recovery for changing this world one person at a time! We will definitely be coming back again and to whoever reads this review trying to figure out if it’ll be a good place to try, do it!! You will definitely not regret it! Just before you do, go into their website and see their mission, so you can go with an open heart and willingness to wait for a table because that’s the least we can do for a wonderful place like this.
