IHOP restaurant reviews:

Let’s keep it real. It wasn’t my idea to dine in at IHOP. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had IHOP, but it’s been YEARS. To my surprise though - other than having to wait a while for the food, we had zero complaints. The main pro here is the convenience of finding yourself with friends whom are hungry and wanting something at late hours of the night.
Great Day
The worst IHOP ever! Can't explain the bad experience... waited 30 minutes to get a table(good thing there was only 2 tables taken), waitress was lost. Wrong order while other employees stood around. NO BURGERS, NO GRAVY...bad bad bad.Employees gave attitude like if you were bothering them. Shame on you treating customers and tourists this way. We keep you guys in business. No one deserves to be ignored, especially if we are paying for service.
Our experience with this IHOP was poor. We arrived in San Antonio that evening for a Graduation Commencement the next day. I took my family here to get a quick bite to eat after a long 5-hour drive. When we arrived at this IHOP, we were told that we couldn't sit anywhere in the restaurant even though it was open. The place was practically empty except for the center floor, which had connected tables for a mariachi band. We asked the cashier if we could order takeout, and they obliged. We had to wait 20-25 minutes. While waiting for our take-out, we started to notice they were allowing other people to come inside that didn't look like our demographic to sit and order food. Once we got our food, we returned to the hotel room; some parts of the order were missing items, and the food was cold, soggy, and salty. I wish we could have had a better experience for the special occasion we were there to celebrate. Our IHOP back home (5-stars) has excellent service and hot food (not salty). But this was a very unacceptable experience from this IHOP location.

The food, servers, and kitchen staff were absolutely great: beyond any ihop I have been to. The only detraction from a perfect rating was the hostesses: they were not seating people in order of arrival, even parties of exactly the same size. However, one of the server approached, apologized, and sat us. Then, we ordered and had our food within 10 minutes....fastest I have ever seen for a busy restaurant!

We went on a Saturday morning and wait was about 15 minutes, but we were seated quickly. Didn’t have any issues with waitress. Service was normal compared to other IHOP locations we have been. There was a waitress behind us who was complaining to another employee about a $4 tip left by a customer, which I felt was inappropriate.

Can’t remember the names of the younger gentleman and the other one from Miami but I’m sure the owners will be able to update me (at which I will update this review) I came here at about 12:45 am - 1am 7/15/22 (a late Thursday night) and was treated extremely well, the guys were very tentative to what I needed polite! and I cannot leave the cook out on this review…. I was blown away to receive such good service and food at the time I was there. Great food, great people, what else can you ask for! Love this place. I’ll be back!

Restaurant almost empty and had to wait to be seated, young hostess scratching his head and giving out utensils. Refused, and grab our own. Took another 15 to get our ticket after initial request. All of us need employment, however service personnel needs to be well trained to expand customer experience, they must HAVE EMPATHY, and never forget that the customer’s experience depends the success or decline of a business.

We had such a great time at IHOP catching up with our niece, and eating a delicious hot breakfast. Our server was amazing, generous portions of food for everyone, and was a great value for our family. I enjoyed the Chicken Fajita omelette. It was delicious!! I highly recommend it!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN LIFE.I’ve never left a bad review! But as a business owner I understand customer service matters.Me and my children where seated by a very nice host Rick! After being seated we waited 30 mins for NO one to great us! I called Rick he served us drinks, and also told a server to help us!10 minutes after I noticed a group of young servers sitting at a table talking, on their phones. While every table full of guest waited to be served!!!I will be calling corporate because this IHOP needs to close or fire entire Staff except RICK!!!!No I’m spending my money at rain forest cafe…..

The ONLY reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one is because our server was actually nice. Clueless, but nice. We walked in and it smelled like a dirty towel. Probably what they cleaned the table with. We were starving so we stayed. Our mistake. I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs. I was brought two boneless breaded chicken cutlets with no gravy. Before I realized that's what it was, I asked for gravy. Our server said he would bring it and he apologized when he came back saying that it was the cook's fault, not his because he just started working there. Whatever. He brought things as we needed them and he was actually a nice guy, just clueless. Once I cut into my meal, I discovered that it was in fact, not chicken fried steak. Mind you, I live in Texas. I KNOW what chicken fried steak is. I was at the point where I was just too hungry to care, so I chalked it up as incompetent kitchen staff and ate my chicken cutlets. Again, my fault. It also seems like off duty employees go there to hang out as well. I wouldn't care so much if they weren't posing a distraction to the already poorly trained staff. Oh well. It seems this location has already gotten A LOT of bad reviews that have gone ignored, so I don't suppose mine will get special treatment. Suffice it to say, I won't be going back. Word to the wise: if you want chicken fried steak from this IHOP, you can do one of two things. Complain until you get it (can't guarantee what they will do to it when you're not looking) or prepare yourself for a breaded boneless chicken cutlet. Oh, and ask for gravy because chances are, you won't get it when you order it.
