Overall good experience. Interesting decor. Big vodka selection. We were seated in a private room, separated from other private rooms by curtains. Very cool. The food was good and reasonably priced. They may have been short-staffed because there were long periods of time we were left alone. A fun dinner.

Absolutely delicious. Hidden gem. The server was amazing and made my husband the best Moscow mule he has ever had. The food was so good. Everything had a depth of flavor that can only be built from taking ones time. I literally can not wait to come back.

This beautiful place holds memories for me with someone who was very dear to me. The owners were the first to take a stand in the city against the atrocities occurring in Ukraine. As a final gesture before they close their doors, they donated sales of all their restaurant memorabilia to aid Ukraine and server all you can eat food with final shots from their various infused vodkas we all knew and loved. Wishing them the best in their next chapter.

There are so many options here that I just want to go back again and again to try. Above and beyond what your standard fare may be, the ability to try a lot of foods you may never have come across before is an absolute treat. And that’s not even getting to their huge selection of infused vodkas. This is a place where the food is just as good as the experience.

They first confused us about not being able to order food at the bar area. But we were glad to be able to do it later. It was a surprise to be part of their 40th birthday celebration. They offered free vodka infused ice cream and watermelon. The vibes were weird but fun. The music equipment quality was so bad tho 🤦‍♀️ extremely loud with noise

Great place. Feels like a small Russia. The music and the ambience is nice. Aesthetically a bit crowded. Good was good. First time trying out Russia cuisine. Had to just walk in there as we could not find anyone to seat us. They could be about more attentive.

Had a most amazing time here! The food was great, the service was extremely good. Sergei had great recommendations and made the whole meal a total blast. We will definitely be back!Oh and the vodka… try the cranberry infused. It’s fantastic.

Yum! Their food is delicious and I would go back 100 times. Their service is really good too. Our server Vlad suggested an excellent infused Moscow mule!

My wife and I came here for the Easter brunch without plans and let me say; what an amazing place! We were seated at the bar as we werent aware at the time it was reservation only. We were not treated any differently and in fact were catered to very surprisingly. I cant recall the name but the mimosas made with the special Russian mixture were addictive to say the least. I may have eaten too much and splurged on a T-shirt as well but that is beside the point. For anyone looking for something unique in the Austin area, this is the place to hang out👍🏻

We went from one surprise to the next until we walked out the door. Great ambiance and delightful staff. The Beet Zakuska was wonderful. Starts almost sweet and finishes with garlic. Elk Pelmini is transcendental! Beef Shashlik will make your mouth water with all the savory flavors. Whiskey Pecan Ice Cream blew my hair back. Be sure to pace your drinks if you plan to have one of these booze infused treats! Everything is well crafted and wonderful.

Russian House Ask and answer

I read that the dress code is casual but I was wondering about the actual environment. Are people usually dressed nice or are most people in sweatpants and stuff like that?
Generally nice, as in a standard bar-hopping dress code.
why are there red flags, hummers & sickles, etc? you should rename it to Soviet house.
It's what most Americans associate Russia with. I doubt many people would recognize the Russian flag over the Soviet one.
Are those permanent hours? I was dreaming about piroshki for lunch.
Yes indeed, we are open for brunch on weekends and we open at 4pm during the weekdays. Though, we have a Coffee Bar that opens every day at 7 am and closes at 2 pm. They also have a selection of various pastries and desserts! Check them out too!
Is the dress code casual?
Hi. It's casual and we ACTUALLY we do require mask to enter the facility and at ALL time moving around the restaurant and bar. When you siting at the table or bar - drinking or eating you do not have to wear mask.
Any vegan options?
sure, we do have plenty
